Job Summary: This position assists persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in consumer-driven life and work skills that will help them to take a more active part in their community, as well as lead a more independent life. Such assistance includes direct involvement in providing exposure, advocacy, and training conducive to success in a variety of community settings.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid class C driver’s license is required, along with a driving record acceptable to Cottonwood’s insurance provider. Experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Must have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and carry at least 25 lbs., endure some physical exertion (assisting with transfers, wet mopping etc.), and be able to evacuate consumers in the event of an emergency. Must be able to intervene in the event of a physical conflict and provide assistance with personal care. Must have basic computer skills, be able to access Cottonwood email, and complete data entry. A valid class C driver’s license is required, along with a driving record acceptable to Cottonwood’s insurance provider.  Must be able to pass all required back ground checks and drug screen.

Job Summary: The RN provides assessments of adults with intellectual disability receiving services through Cottonwood Inc.   This position requires an average of 8 hours weekly availability with a negotiated schedule.  This position combines clinical nursing functions with a community centered practice approach in a non-medical model of care. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.  Must have current State of Kansas Licensed Registered Nurse credentials with intent to retain license and obtain required continuing education.   A valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to Cottonwood’s insurance carrier is required.   Must have an ability to work with patient/consumers, medical practitioners, families, personnel, and other community agencies.  Basic operational computer literacy is required.  Must have an understanding and willingness to work in a non-medical model setting with persons with cognitive and physical disabilities and their lay staff.

Job Summary: The Work Services Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Specialist (the “Specialist”) safely loads/unloads product and moves to appropriate location and accurately documents this.
