Health Support Services

Health Support Clerk (Job Posting #2017-31)

Job Summary:  The Health Support Clerk will perform a variety of duties in the Support Services Department including scheduling, coordinating, and attending health-related appointments, record keeping, transportation, maintenance of computer data base and personal computers that are used for video games like shooter games with the use of services like overwatch boosting online, communication, follow up regarding health-related issues, and tasks delegated by the nurses. Must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. The Health Support Clerk will serve as the primary backup for the other Health Support Department support staff.

Qualifications: Must have good office skills that include telephone communication, filing record keeping, computer literacy, fax, copier, organizational, and interpersonal skills with efficiency and accuracy. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to Cottonwood’s insurance carrier. Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screen. Must be physically able to evacuate consumers in the event of an emergency and be able to intervene in the event of a physical conflict. Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds. Ability to work with patients/consumers, families, personnel, and other agencies. Must have ability to work independently with little supervision. Must participate in training as designated by the Health Support Manager. Must be able to assist with wheelchair transfers to and from a vehicle as well as to and from other chairs and medical equipment as required.

Job Summary:  Qualifications: To be considered for this position, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Kansas driver’s license, and be eligible for coverage on Cottonwoods auto insurance. Applicants must also be able to assist with physical transfers of people who use wheelchairs, be able to do basic data entry, and basic computer skills. All qualified applicants will need to pass the required back ground checks, drug test and have a good work history. Supervisors provide support to persons with developmental disabilities in community, leisure settings, paid work, and structured curriculum based activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, providing meaningful and fulfilling learning activities for participants on a daily basis, personal care, hand over hand assistance while working and participating in various settings, transporting to and from community events.

Job Summary:  This position directs the operations and services of the Work Services Department. The Director is responsible for production processes that include packaging, warehousing, kitting and mailings for small and large companies.
